The Nineteen Final GB TPO Postmarks In Use January 8th & 9th 2004



The final TPO Services to run were the North East TPO, North West TPO, Midland TPO, Great Western TPO and Bristol - Penzance TPO.

Collectors tip: The TPO postmark that many collectors may have overlooked on the final day was the Travelling Post Office Section London single ring cds postmark still in philatelic use via the Royal Mail's London Special Handstamp Centre until 9th January 2004. This last day postmark is therefore very likely to prove scarce in future (see the final illustration on the postmark checklist images below).
