New GB Machin Definitive Colours 2013
The new palette of self-adhesive Machin definitive stamps has been printed by De La Rue Security Print for issue on January 3rd 2013. Here is a preview of the new stamps:

In 2012 the first class (and 1st Large) Machin was issued in "Diamond Blue" to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and, now being issued in "Royal Mail Red", this is is perhaps the most dramatic change.
The stamps can be purchased from the Royal Mail Website. The complete set of nine costs £3.38
Other formats: Royal Mail are also producing first day covers featuring all nine stamps with a choice of Philatelic Bureau or Windsor postmark. These are priced at £4.53 for UK collectors and £3.78 for orders received from overseas. The Presentation Pack priced at £3.90 includes an informative guide to the history of GB definitive stamps going all the way back to the 1840 Penny Black. Three new stamp booklets will be available featuring 6 x 1st Class, 12 x 1st Class and 4 x 1st Large stamps all in the new Royal Mail Red colour. Business sheets featuring 100 x 1st Class or 50 x 1st Large are also being issued.
