GB Stamp Issue Schedule 2014
The Royal Mail's stamp calendar kicks off in January with a set of stamps featuring classic children's TV shows. Early February will see the popular theme of horses revisited to focus on working horses. The Spring Stampex issue will celebrate the ever popular subject of trains, this time celebrating classic locos of Wales.
Other subjects being featured include Remarkable Lives (people on stamps), Buckingham Palace (landmark buildings on stamps), Great British films (movies on stamps), sustainable fish, Glasgow Commonwealth Games (no Gold Medal stamps planned), World War I (The Great War), the Autumn Stampex issue will feature seaside features like Piers, Proms & Pavillions, October will see Prime Ministers featured and the year will end with the usual Christmas stamps as normal.
Two of the Post & Go flora issues will be timed for issue during Spring and Autumn Stampex. Spring will unsurprisingly feature British Flora in Springtime but Autumn Stampex will see the release of faststamps focused on Symbolic Flowers. During November the third Post & Go stamp set of the year will feature winter flora.
Post & Go stamp collectors should also expect additional commemorative overprint issues throughout 2014 at Stampex and other philatelic events.
