A Post and Go Postcard Tribute to Author Graham Greene

Graham Greene Brighton Rock Postcard

Graham Greene was born in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire in 1904 and died in Switzerland in 1991. Greene managed the rare feat of gaining both literary acclaim and widespread popularity. In 1967 he was shortlisted for the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Greene disliked being described as a Roman Catholic novelist and claimed to be just a novelist who happened to be Catholic. Nevertheless Catholic religious themes featured at the heart of many of his works, in particular the four major so called Catholic novels: Brighton Rock, The Power and the Glory, The Heart of the Matter and The End of the Affair. These are now regarded as "the gold standard" of Catholic novels.

Several more of his works like The Confidential Agent, The Third Man, The Quiet American, Our Man in Havana and The Human Factor also show Graham Greene's fascination with international politics, intrigue and espionage.

Ten of these postcards have been produced and some of them will be made available via this eBay account (opens in new browser tab/window) as and when time allows.
